St. Teresa’s Parish, Etobicoke

May 10, 2021

Dear St. Teresa’s Parishioners:

I would like to thank all parishioners for their assistance in helping us to implement health protocols during our Return to Church and adapting to the many changes in our schedule and capacity over the past number of months.

I want to share the news with you that I have tested positive for Covid-19 after experiencing symptoms late Saturday evening. I will be in a period of quarantine for a number of days. Both the Archdiocese of Toronto and Toronto Public Health is aware of the situation.

Recognizing that the health and safety of each one of you is our priority, we are taking the necessary step to close the church on a temporary basis until Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Messages in the office will continue to be monitored remotely.

While the risk of transmission is low, we ask that all parishioners, as in the past, continue to self-monitor for symptoms. As we have often said, if you are not feeling well or are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, please connect with your family doctor or consider getting tested for Covid-19.

A self-assessment tool can be found by visiting: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/. You can also contact the Toronto Public Health Hotline at (416) 338-7600 between 8:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. if you have questions about Covid-19. Translation is available in multiple languages.

I will share any additional updates as necessary. Thank you for your continued co-operation as we pray for all those who are sick and those who are caring for them.

Know that each one of you will be in my prayers during these challenging days!

May God bless you!

Fr. Joseph Morawski, CSMA, Pastor.
