A VIRTUAL COURSE RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM

This asynchronous online course is part of Holocaust Education Week in November and prepares for the observance of International Shoah Remembrance Day held annually on January 27. Through film and facilitation, it will explore how the Nazi ideology of racial antisemitism and territorial expansion led to and shaped the World War II and the Holocaust. Participants will gain a firm understanding of democracy, dictatorship, propaganda, collaboration, resistance, intervention, genocide, citizenship and how governments can be held accountable. This course is of benefit to everyone and is especially of importance to secondary school educators of Religion and European/American/World History as well as other disciplines where the Shoah is treated.
